THE COURSE

Overview

Based at Christchurch's iconic Town Hall, our flat, fast and spectator friendly course takes you on a scenic tour of quintessentially Christchurch landmarks such as Hagley Park and the Avon River.

Recognised as NZ's fastest course, Christchurch is the place for PB's. The Full and Half Marathon are certified to IAAF & AIMS standards, so it's the perfect place to qualify for international events such as Boston.

Since the earthquakes of 2010/2011 we have been striving to return to our traditional course. We have finally done that and the route now is the fastest, simplest and most scenic since 2010. Check out descriptions and maps for each distance below.

All races start outside the Christchurch Town Hall, and head west on Kilmore Street toward Hagley Park.

All races finish outside the Christchurch Town Hall, heading west on Kilmore Street.

NB:  The advertised course is always subject to annual Council approvals. As such we reserve the right to change the advertised course at any time prior to race day.
